I know a few members use IRC (Internet Relay Chat). Do you think it would be good to have a channel on the Caelestia network? Thoughts?

I haven't used IRC in quite a while, I'd be happy to start using it again if we made one.

My stance is the same as Shadow's.
I'd also like to say that any sort of live chat that's actually used on a regular basis (no pun intended) could be good for people getting to know each other better.

I think live chat would be a good idea... though I'll probably take awhile to get the hang of IRC. I've only heard of it once before and that was through AEF. There was a whole thread about it dedicated to finding people, how to chat etc and I still didn't understand and/or forgot within five minutes of reading.
Plus it may be more effective considering there is almost always 0 people in the chat box on the home page here. Unless it's just me coming on at bad times.

Imo, it used to be better with the chatbox before one of the updates. At one point it actively showed if someone was in the chatbox even if you weren't logged in to the chat itself.

@ Ragegamer: Oh? So you can only see people logged in when you log in? Maybe that's why it always reads 0... I always thought there were 0 people in it so I didn't bother log in.
