log2 X = 4

Solve for X

If it were read in words, it would be log base 2 of X equals four.

I have no idea. We haven't done that in school before.

It ain't that tough if you know logarithms... log base B of Y equals X if and only if B^X equals Y. Therefore, X=2^4, or 16. And, Erik? It seems that most of TR is NOT in Algebra II... why don't you stop torturing everyone?

Well, how is it torture if they don't know how to do it? Its only torture if they are just learning and are bad at it, or if they decide to look it up and get confused. And this is only the second time I have asked it lol. Anyways, correct Juli.
