[PS]TR Style Signatures

Introduction:
I'll be teaching you how to make this sort of thing.
This was my first try, and I think it worked out pretty well.
I won't be covering custom character/weapon/pet creation though.
The canvas should be 500x100.

I re-uploaded it to my site, to skip the silly rapidshare nonsense. It should just start downloading.

Step 1: Creating the Bar
The bar is a rounded rectangle, with a 10mm curve.
The length depends on how much is in it, but mine was 492 pixels. 500 might be easier for you though.
Then, delete the empty background layer.

Step 2: Filling in the bar
In my example, is a cut of my aqw house, covered with a light gradient.
In yours, it can be just a gradient, or a screenshot from aqw, or anything.

Screenshot (Harder):
Put it on a layer below your bar.
Then, going back to the bar layer, select it with the magic wand tool.
Then, switch to the screenshot layer, select inverse, and cut it out.
It should fit nicely over the bar. Now, you can delete the first bar.
Add a stroke to the screenshot, by right-clicking the layer and on stroke.

Gradient:
Go to blending options, select stroke, change the colour to what you like.
Then, go to gradient overlay and fiddle about.

Step 3: Adding a character
Now, get your character sprite (I'm sure there's a guide to do this somewhere), and paste it over the top.
Cut out everything you don't want.

Step 4: Text
Choose a text size between 8 and 11, and the font is 04b03. (Courtesy of Ryzaa)

Awesome, except the font size was 8, and you might want to add an offsite link to the font?
Maybe? Just a suggestion.
