Specific jobs

I think it would be best to give out specific jobs.

The best spriter, would be a character spriter.
The good but not perfect spriters would do less important things, such as pets, or weapons.

Then, special effects editors, positioning editors usw.

I think I'm the only one that can do customs here, but I'm not sure.
So that'd put me as a custom artist.
etc. etc.

I don't claim to be the best spriter (I'm not that arrogant), but I am certainly good, may I do that?

Giving specific jobs imo will disrupt the community a bit. If all spriters can work together, and CREATE together, I think that would create a much better result than everyone just doing his thing. Also, spriting characters really is just a thing of a few minutes (magnetic lasso, zoom close and feather it). But hey, I'm not even in that part of the comic council, so who am I to talk xD?

No. If you do a sprite properly (pen tool) then it should take quite a while to do it.

I'm going to agree with DC on this one, some people are better at certain things than others, but when you put them all together you get a better result than any one person could achieve.
