If you look at the actual pokemon though, everyone would agree that gold and before had better design then the later generations. Its not about the look in-game, its about the style, and the actual look being less "imaginative".

Ive had every single game up till now and I have to agree that GSC were the best, maybe not in terms of graphics but the best in terms of gameplay. Also, the Pokemon became dull and overused starting with RSE

Another reason GSC are great are because they have Kanto and Johto, for longer gameplay (I hardly take capturing all of the pokemon as a part of the "goal" in the game, though that was the original purpose. I just see it as be able to beat lots of people. When they make one with all of the generations, I will give it the respect that it duly deserves.

Yeh, I agree with Erikm, the only decent Pokemon game will be the one with all the maps. Until that time, I have no buisness with Pokemon.

I didn't say the others aren't decent, I just said something that makes them good is having 2 maps.
