Re: Rising

Post by Erik on Thu Feb 18, 2010 8:53 am

Erik stared down at this mysterious boy, who could create weapons out of apparently nowhere and raised up a wall of ice between him and the boy. Erik said,
"I don't want to fight you, I heard a commotion and thought, might as well check it out. Why do you insist on stabbing everyone you see? I saw what transpired between you, and those two 'fellows' who wanted to save your parents. Think about asking before attacking. Now, explain yourself. Why did you stab them, why did you try to kill me, and how did you get those abilities?"

(I will now play first person)

I noticed a figure creeping somewhere else in the house.
"Kid, if you want to do something good, figure out who that guy over there is."
I raised some walls of ice around the figure, leaving the side facing toward us open. This night just got a little weirder...

Collin turned to look at the intruder, and right before he did that, he blasted the ice covered intruder with dust that changed into cement. "You stay!" Collin ran towards the NEW intruder and blasted him with another cement blast. "OKAY! NOW WILL ALL OF YOU PLEASE TELL ME WHAT YOU'RE DOING IN MY HOUSE!" Collin yelled.

Rolf wondered what he had gotten himself into. If it was a fight they wanted, both of them seemed strong, but Rolf knew he could probably handle himself.

I cemented ALL the intruders! Remember?

"Alright kid, here's my story. I saw you standing here, fighting those two guys and stabbing them, so I thought I better see whats happening. Then, I come in, try to help you with trapping that wolfish guy over there, and so you blast me with cement. Not very grateful if you ask me. Where were the screams coming from, why are you trying to kill all of us, and how are you doing 'that'?"

I used my mind to begin freezing the ground around this kid, and before he noticed, he was held into place by solid ice covering his arms and legs, holding them straight down.

"I dont know how I'm doing this, but at least I MEANT to do this!" Collin shot dust spikes out of his arms to break through the ice. He stood there waiting for one of them to make a move. Collin quickly shot the cement onto the wolf, and the ice cube. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to check something up in my parent's room, so stay here!" Collin ran upstairs, and when he got to his parent's room, he couldn't believe what he saw. His sister crying on the ground, and piles of dust on the bed where his parents should be.

Samuel stared into the distance, the he had been walking through the city when a band of were cats ambushed him, it had been a bloody battle but in the end, he was alive and they were not. He looked at the dead bodies around him, it felt almost inhumane to kill something so similar to his species, that was something a human would do, he was better than that. He sighed and buttoned his jacket, the town was burning with monsters and monster slayers, both sides would attack him on sight if he went around without a disguise. He turned around a corner and entered a shop. Raising his hands to show he was unarmed as the shopkeeper drew a crossbow. ''Excuse me'' he said to the shopkeeper, ''I’m looking for a certain Collin Gray…''

I broke out of my prison, and made pleasant conversation with the wolfish guy.

"Hey, you look kind of like someone I used to know."
He replied, "You also look like an old friend of mine, but he was lost, never to be found."

I pondered over this idea, that maybe this was my old friend from when I was just a boy...

Re: Rising

Post by Alderos on Sun Feb 21, 2010 12:43 am

The flash from the muzzle of his shotgun filled the alleyway. "Damn thieves..." Alderos muttered.
Alderos was a 5 foot 9 moon demon. Not liked by many, but was one helluva fighter. He had not always been like this, but he tried to forget that past. Ambushed, as he was walking along this alleyway. This had ruined his day. "Great! Now i am in a faul mood!" he said as he started to run. HArdly noticing anything while he was whisking through the city, he noticed one thing. A house, with open doors. "Usually doors are closed around this time of night," he thought. He went over to isnpect this oddity. As he came closer he realized that there were people inside. A werewolf, and a man that he sensed was not human. This was odd. Especially with all of the dust, and ice everywhere. He jumped further up on the house and looked through a window. There was a boy and girl, they were crying. "Why are they crying?" Alderos said to himself in a curious tone. After watching for a couple minutes he jumped to the ground and walked in the door saying," you two do realize there is a boy and girl, children i assume, crying upstairs I believe because of you two right?"

"Oh, we have seen them." I replied.
"All we seem to know is that those two guys" *Points to the ground* "Were in here, and the boy started stabbing them with daggers made out of dust. So, I came in and tried to ask what's wrong, and then he tried to kill me. So, I used my powers to raise ice around that wolfish guy over there, to trap him, hoping I would gain the boy's trust. He then blasted us with cement somehow, and I froze the ground so he couldn't move. Spikes shot out of his hands, and then he sprinted upstairs."

"Well what the hell is going on?" Alderos stated. "We already have enough freaks in the world why more!?" Alderos stated in an angry tone. He then went over to the two on the ground and examined them. One a werewolf just like he thought and another just, different. "Well, do you suppose we should interrogate these two, or wait for the children to come downstairs?" Alderos said in a very non-caring tone as he kicked the werewolf.

Samuel grinned as he had left the shop. It had gone so well, the shopkeeper had demanded had been compliant until he had seen a patch of fur on Samuels’s neck and tried to kill him. Granted, that would have been most unfortunate, so Samuel had to… silence, the man.
Still, dead bodies aside, Samuel found what he was looking for; Collin Gray. He didn’t really understand why his employers wanted a boy dead nor did he care, he was an assassin, a silent predator like he had been so many years before. The times had changed, the people had changed but the law had remained the same; you are either a predator, or prey.
He climbed onto the roof of the house where the Gray boy resided and took off his coat, revealing a striped orange and white body wearing nothing but an armored plate skirt. He grinned as he drew his sword; it had been 500 years since his accident, 500 years since he was thrust into a strange new world, 500 years of killing, death, and mayhem… and he loved it!

"What the hell was that!?" Alderos yelled. He had just heard a loud thump on the roof of the house. "Guys you stay here im going to check it out." Alderos then snuck out of the front door and silently jumped to the roof. He had performed this quiter than a feather dropping to the ground. As he looked on the roof he noticed something, a person. They were looking in the window of the house at the two children. Alderos then noticed something strange, this person had striped fur. "Odd." he thought. He then quickly ran up to the intruder and knocked him to the ground. "Who are you!?" Alderos Asked in a grudging tone.

Collin ran back downstairs. "Is there seriously another one?" The ice block and the ball of fur only nodded*. "Why is my house suddenly the Cirque de Freak?" Collin ran out the door, and shot up to the roof next to the person on the roof. "What are you?-erm I mean WHOM are you?" Collin looked down and saw the tiger furred person on the ground. "Oh, a kitty? Thats easy." Collin jumped down to attack.

"What I am doesn't concern you, but HE is trying to kill you," replied Alderos. "Also, could you please explain everything that happened to you tonight later?" Quickly, he then ran up to the strange tiger-person and grabbed him by the throat. "Who are you, and why EXACTLY are you here?!" Alderos barked.

Samuel stared at the moon demon choking him, demons; it had to be demons, the one single thing on this miserable planet that could out-stealth or out-run him. He heard a thump and saw that a boy had jumped down from the roof; he recognized the boy as his target and grinned, this mission could be salvaged after all.
He kicked himself free and punched the demon in the aortic arch with an uppercut*. It wouldn’t kill it, just stun it enough for him to kill the boy and rush out of there before it recovered. Odds were it would easily kill him in single combat if he allowed it.
Seeing the demon fall backwards, he rushed towards the boy and in a split second stabbed him in the head, stepping backwards and grinning as he saw the left half of the boys face droop as the nerves were severed. His grin turned to a frown though as he saw the boy put his hands up to the sword to pull it out, an immortal target**, yay…

*A major blood vessel near the heart, if it had been a normal human they would have died, however since our victim here is a demon, it only serves as a stun.
** You are immortal right?
