The whole good and evil thing could also go the way that World of Warcraft went.

What I mean by that is this:

*New players will mostly choose Good, causing overpopulation.
*Many of the older players will start getting egos, shouting things similar to "For the Horde".
*Inexperienced players start developing immature behaviors, giving Good a bad reputation.
*Older players on the side of Good will find it hard to create teams with players of similar strength, due to the new player crowding.
*Some of the more moronic Evil players will start developing unfriendly behavior towards Good players, causing for deeper rifts in our community.

Consider this when you pick sides.

Well i guess. Since everyone knows the alliance is made of little kids. Thats the only reason i went horde (and those awesome trolls :P) But on AQW the tables are turned. Every little kid wants to be destructive and evil. Making about 2/3 of the population evil and 1/3 good. There was a old thread in AE forums talking about the sides and almost EVERYONE said. I want EBIL!! EBIL RULEZ CUZ PWNAGE!

He makes an excellent point. Good isn't good enough anymore, and true good is made a mockery of. Good guys used to pure, morally straight, strong and kind. Now they are either portrayed as weak-minded do-gooders, bumbling fools, or ruthless zealots who are just as evil in their actions (thanks to the Crusades and Spanish Inquisition, among other things)as any villain. Bad guys are cool, dark and malicious is seen as clever. This is allthe result of a very REAL and present social deterioration in RL, simply reflected in online games. Nihilism has become the dominant social condition, particularly in kids who have no real physical wants or needs--the richest 1%. That's us, folks! We have the most power to go out and do good in the world, but we're too lazy and disillusioned! An epic failure in the truest sense.

Just maybe, we can do good things for others on the internet though--whether aligned "good" or "evil"--and make the world a better place in our own small, lazy way. At least we could try. I really hope this becomes the mission of the Regulars. There need not be any religious overtones or specific philosophy. Being kind, helpful and standing up for respectful, clean fun is straightforward enough, and many of us are already that way.

If there could be a neutral side i would choose that. For the reason of not wanting to be either good or evil i just want to be that gap in the middle.

I'm good. I'm always good. But I won't shout out battlecries like "For the horde" or whatever. Well, I might use "For the lulz" as my battlecry on occasion.
