That could be a painfully bad idea as there is a possible chance people will spam post, by that I mean that they will go onto every topic they can find and post something either irrelavant or anything that they can post to gain more points...

Quite true, I remember a day when I got 230 posts in 3 hours. The Admin would have a heck of a time keeping track of how many posts everyone had that month.

What if everyone had a mod to report to and they all sent in a form like:

Name:

Reg. Date:

Which could be broken down to a Member/Points graph to add the funds.

Who in this clan would spam post, seriously? Make it a rule if you spam post, you get points deducted. Win-win.

Like I said, points should go to members by seniority or accomplishments, not posts.

Shoult there be a monthly census?
