Be careful about going to websites

Post by Alderos on Thu Feb 25, 2010 9:10 am

Recently i was going to watch a cool flash someone suggested to me, but when it was done loading the internet exited and windows defender popped up!!! Windows defender is a scam virus , and it won't let you do anything on your computer. Luckily today i figured out i can get rid of it by restoring my computer!!!

Well, this has to do with the browser your viewing as well. Earlier versions of IE, as well as Firefox have been having alot of Malware and harmful Javascript Leaks lately. Google Chrome is probably the best browser to be using now.

Speaking of Chrome, Google's operating system is going to fail when it comes out. It's going to be all internet based, therefore, when Google's servers go down, or someone hacks them, lots of people are gooooooooooing (pun intended) to be in a lot of trouble.

Windows Defender itself isn't a virus. Windows Defender is a default program for Vista and Windows 7 that protects you from spyware. It's more likely you had a malicious program masquerading as Windows Defender.

Google chrome is much faster too...

Well, many of you have probably heard about the Erin Andrews video. Watching it gives you malware, just a warning.

Meh, I bugged my dad's toughbook with Windows XP a while back. Took forever to get the virus out, but it only bugged my profile.
That, my friend, is why offering computers cookies does help.

If you are a Mac user, you could check out Camino from Mozilla.

Personally I think Camino fails. But I have been getting Malware warnings from things on Deviant Art.
