Tornadoes.

As I type this, my city's tornado alarm has gone off, and well, it's not the day for the drill. Given this somewhat ill conceived inspiration, I deceided to make this thread on tornadoes, and other natural disasters. Your experiences, knowledge, and thoughts are greatly appreciated. So... Discuss!

I do believe you are not supposed to be on or relatively near electronics Sticky. Dangerous position you are in right now.

We have had a tornado a few years ago, but it didn't get close enough to my actual location to do damage to most of my city.

Tips...

Go to the basement, and stay away from the windows, covering your back of your neck. Or, if you don't have a basement, get to the ground floor and under a table or something.

And always remember, even though the eye of the tornado is the weakest location, we do NOT recommend heading into it...

Nah, it must've been a false alarm. And the computer was in the basement, but I doubt that would really make a difference, considering the fact that it's a walk-out basement with a balcony.

My first thought was 'what the hell are you doing on the computer when there is a tornado alert?'

But yeah. No tornadoes here. :D

No tornadoes but we get Tsunami alerts (due to the Samoa and Chile earthquakes in recent months).

Never been in a tornado myself, but there was one time we had a tornado warning...

My mom and I hid in the basement. Our windup radio was broken; much to my amusement, the only sound that came out of it was that of an airplane taking off, which I assume was NOT being broadcast at that time.
