With all the rank requests recently, I thought I'd make a central thread where they could all be requested.

Costs of ranks:

Fort Regulars II: Electric Boogaloo

Post by Peregrine on Wed Apr 28, 2010 7:30 am

EH, OH YEAH. ONE MORE TIME. ONE MORE TIME WE'RE GONNA CELEBRATE. EH, OH YEAH, ALL RIGHT, DON'T STOP THE DANCING.

Hello there everyone. It's Peregrine here to tell you the way in which you all die horribly.

Actually it's optional. If you don't want to die horribly feel free to carry on browsing the forums.

Now with that out of the way, I shall actually make a topic to go with this thread.

Dwarf Fortress is a game where you start with seven dwarves and you build a fortress from the ground up. In this little game, your dwarves face numerous challenges. Most of them resulting in horrible deaths, which is why I added a warning of sorts to the opening of this thread. In this thread, I'm going to start a community fortress with TR. In a community fortress, you name dwarves after members of a forum community and then write journal entries from the standpoint of one dwarf about the silly things the rest of the dwarves are up to, like adopting numerous donkeys, wearing socks on their hands, thinking sand is cheese, hanging babies from dining room ceilings on shoelaces, and the like. I will be the person playing the game for this fortress, and the rest of you can laugh along with me as you read my interpretations of what your dwarven halves are doing.

Just an explanation for newcomers as to what this is all about, carried over from the old thread.

We're making a new fortress. Only there's a twist (oh my gooodness). We're going to be using the latest version of dwarf fortress. The new version has many new features (and many hilarious bugs. QUICKLY, MELT THAT SOCK FOR IRON), and will generally be extremely interesting compared to the old fort in which nothing actually happened (sadface). What sort of new features are we talking here, Peregrine? Oh, you'll see. You'll all see.

I need six people to start, so please, everyone, pick your jobs:

Hint: I would be extremely grateful should someone decide to be a miner because those are very important. Alternatively, we can all just stand around outside until one shows up. Hopefully we do not also starve to death in the meantime.

Waiting List
wwwtoy the Animal Trainer.
Flaw of Insanity the Swordsdwarf.
Ebilzorbak the Fighter Cook.
Shadow the Weaponsmith
Weena the Chef.
Erik the Glassmaker.
InvadersFromDeepSpace the Miner.

No, but I'm sure you could just lie about your gender.

You don't know that for sure.
Alderos might sign up and die first instead.
