The minoan labyrinth

Hello, you know the myth of the minoan labyrinth, right?
Well, if not then here it goes: King Minos of Knossos (Knossos is a city in Greece)
wife had intercourse with a bull, their offspring became half man half bull, it was called "Minotaur". King Minos got mad and built a big labyrinth under his palace and locked the Minotaur in there. One day an adventurer came by and killed the Minotaur and then they all lived happily ever after! The end. Well this myth may be true! I read in a history magazine that the archeologists have found the remnants of a labyrinth under the remnants of the palace on Knossos! Cool, eh?

EDIT: I almost forgot that the architect that built the labyrinth got locked up in a tower with his son.
So he made 2 pairs of wax wings and then hey flew away. But the son flew to close to sun and the wax melted, so he fell down to the ground and died.

Because gods like coming up with interesting punishments for mortals.

Minos refused to sacrifice a white bull to Poseidon because it was so pretty, so Poseidon made Minos' wife Pasiphae fall madly in love with it.

Check your facts Draktand, you just gave the heavily edited abridged version of the story, for instance it wasnt just any old hero, it was Thesues, the founder of Athens, as well as the son of Poseidon (all Greek heroes were demi-gods, basically these gods were the ancient version of Bachelors)

''Androgeus, son of Minos, had been killed by the Athenians, who were jealous of the victories he had won at the Panathenaic festival. Others say he was killed at Marathon by the Cretan bull, his mother's former taurine lover, which Aegeus, king of Athens, had commanded him to slay. The common tradition is that Minos waged war to avenge the death of his son, and won. Catullus, in his account of the Minotaur's birth,refers to another version in which Athens was "compelled by the cruel plague to pay penalties for the killing of Androgeos." Aegeus must avert the plague caused by his crime by sending "young men at the same time as the best of unwed girls as a feast" to the Minotaur. Minos required that seven Athenian youths and seven maidens, drawn by lots, be sent every ninth year (some accounts say every year) to be devoured by the Minotaur.
When the third sacrifice approached, Theseus volunteered to slay the monster. He promised to his father, Aegeus, that he would put up a white sail on his journey back home if he was successful and would have the crew put up black sails if he was killed. Just because the labyrinth exists isn't grounds to say that the Minotaur does as well.

Actually, it may be possible with artificial insemination, put fertilized bull eggs in a womans womb, it wouldnt be half human but...

Well that is obvious. Otherwise we would have octocats frolicking around forests. Although, the labrynth part is pretty amazing.
