So, what exactly do we post here? What makes us tick about our parents? Why are parents are so great? And maybe this could have been put in the discussion thread, We could discuss if parents are there to to protect us, or to ruin things. Just an idea.

My parents say they'll talk about it, breach the subject to each other once, and forget about it till the next time I ask
Example: Dad, I need administrator access so I can actually download a Flash player that ISNT outdated

Mine used to be rather strict... but they've mellowed out since I started uni, except when I forget to pay them board.
Surprisingly my dad didn't threaten to inflict bodily harm on my boyfriend when he met him the first time. When my older sister was dating, he'd show her boyfriend-at-the-time his gun collection.
I'm currently teaching my mum to use the family computer so she stops pestering me whenever something goes wrong.
