Maybe a themed TR for (almost) every occasion. I.E Halloween, Easter, V-day, Saint Pats, etc etc. But then again, maybe this sounds alittle childish.

Re: Taking a step back.

i dont think that ppl really understadthe prob, and sorry, i only came with the prob and not the solution. the inactivness of tr forum has more to do with current members then that of new ones. even more in respectto the old ones, such as vamp charon flawsy ryzaa rage and more. first off i dont believe everyone will understand this with just this post unless you think deeply about it and disreguard many things it may contredict, forthe moment. the regulers started out asa few aqw mems hanging out together and bloomed into one of the best clans ive ever seen. the origenal mems are mostly gone however, there personalitys ad character burned into out hearts. you see tr isan organization of many new mems and mems who never even usetheforums, a small group of mems who have begone to use theforum in hopes of more fun and activitys, then theresthe "elite" the old mems and the prastegious. the elite include almost all the mems that ppl think about when thay hear "tr". this group of ppl is the face and the pride of tr. members just join to be a part of there groups, to have the rep of seeing and doing stuff with these legends and learning from it and even becoming legends themselfs. theres been a decline of activity in the elite, many have left for reasons like collage work and other endevers or just become less and less active to the point of becoming a event wheneverthay arefound around aqw and the site. many ppl look up to these membersas heros like aqw mods staff and npcs and flock to them whenever there doing something nomatter what. i believe that the steady decline in trs inactivity is unfortunetly unsuprizing but this is why i do believe it has befallin us. we need more heros however silly that may sound.

Re: Taking a step back.

Post by Evangel on Sun Aug 22, 2010 12:25 pm

I think the reason (I personally) have been less active is because of my lack of interest in AQW. TR is heavily reliant on AQW and AE and I think if this continued for too long it would lead to the downfall of the group.

TR needs to expand. Stuff like Whirled and Transformice like people suggested are great and all but I don't think it would be enough. TR needs to become more than just another AQW clan. Heck, personally I think we should set up PSN and XBL Clans. I think that would be a nice touch for the console gamers of the clan such as myself.

I love the art and literature sections of the site and I think there is a lot of talent in both categories, so I think not much should be expanded there, really.

The role playing is only what we make it to be, so as long as people stay active, it'll be a good portion for the site.

Personally, I also think we should do some sort of TR event on Sundays, too. Just doing a community event on Saturdays is a little... I don't know, too little. Plus I'm always forgetting or getting on too late to make it in time, so having something on Sunday that doesn't get in the way of school would be fun.

I've been trying to stay active with the Cons, my fanfic flame seems to have died. So I'm not really up for the challenge for furthering Evangel's story.

I mean, really, with games like Call of Duty: World at War, Modern Warfare (2), Halo 3 and the upcoming Halo: Reach, Black Ops, and Medal of Honor if you like the whole BF: BC 3 approach, I think TR could make a splash in the console gaming community.

As some may know, also, I've been playing Fantasy Earth Zero a lot lately and it supports a sort of group system and if anyone was interested enough I think TR could take a position as a significant group, there, too. Good community and many ways to distinguish oneself.

Anyways, I think that's all my thoughts for right now. Surprised myself as to the amount I wound up saying.

And I know some people were just inactive for a week or two because they couldn't be bothered. This is why I suggested that we have a room where we can go and relax at the and of the day and chat to other TR members.

Edit~ Agree with the post above. If you know about other games on the internet. Try suggesting them.

TR is primarily an AE clan, and whatever we do it will still, for the most part, be an AE games clan because they're the games that we all play, but I think it would be fun if we got members to play other MMOs with a guild system and such, those members that play the game already can teach the newer members and all of us could help each other out. Hopefully it will also get people interested in these other MMOs, the only reason I hardly play the other ones I do play is because none of my friends play them.

I didn't mean runescape, and certainly not WoW. You have to pay for WoW, waste of money if you ask me, I played a trail and it's not really that good.

But that's off topic.

I think we should do something on Sunday, since Sunday is always so terribly boring e_e

Case in point, I'm bored right now. :P

As for expanding into other MMOs, Casual ones only would probably be for the best, lest we end up with pages of hardcore grinding and/or arguing like the old Milt zone topic. :P

TR was very inactive last September and I don't expect it to be much different this year. That isn't the problem. I feel as if TR needs a new type of motivator. Maybe a record for most consecutive days making a post on the forums or a daily poll. A TR Nation (Yes, Nation >:D) on Whirled would be a great idea. Whirled is easy and fun and very customizable.

tHe Whirled thread seems to be popular, so why not go with that like Lightning said. The fact that we aren't written in stone seems to say we can go with multiple ideas

1) Pay attention to the approval threads; im still waiting for a yes or a no
2) Choose more conmods, ones who are active; The con post took a week for example, some are not even taken at all.

My post was blocked by 3 books, an essay, and a math packet. I won't even have this much to do when school starts

I would really like to see some more tutorials, especially one on how to make a simple signature with PhotoShop Elements 5.0
