As for expanding into other MMOs, Casual ones only would probably be for the best, lest we end up with pages of hardcore grinding and/or arguing like the old Milt zone topic. :P

Yeah, I don't think we should expand into PS3 and Xbox etc. Some people don't like having to give out their information, and gun games leave a lot of room for skill level, or should I say "reaction time". :p

A lot of MMOs can't be classed as casual because they depend on how you play them, just sayin' for reference.

Any group in the world can make any rules or promises and grant success, but if the community is full of employees of jerk-town, we have a problem and people will leave. I think TR needs some more interaction between its members, as they are my favorite part of TR. I sense the hunger within the group, and a decline of convention activity makes me think that we need to implement for features for the forum itself as a top priority.

I agree with this. Any ideas of how we can enrich the social aspect of the community?

The Con activity rests on the member's shoulders, but I personally apologize on my own behalf for not coming or hosting very often. There's not much we can do to enhance the socialization on the forums alone, besides maybe finishing the old projects. Other than that, moving onto Whirled would be a smart move, with everyone so eager to do so.

We don't need more moderators. If one person that has information of pictures for Con is absent, it will take awhile to get it up. You guys choose whether to come to Con or not, so if you guys don't come, there obviously isn't a Con.

I feel we all need something to do, especially on AqWorlds as the quality of the releases have been decreasing since Christmas , so I think we should set somewhere up, like Yulgar-6114, where we can go and relax with other ClanMates, and I think there is a high possability this will reduce the amount of inactivity and lazyness. I know we are not allowed to clame the room as our own or ask people to leave but we are allowed to congregate in a certain room.

i feel the need to enlighten the obvious problem with expanding to other MMO's systems, extera extera. the true inactivity is in community and forum ativity, in tr forums we already talk and discuse all the3se differnt MMOs and games and the innactivity is still down. if we were to branch off it would make no differnice. rping wouldintchange, writing boreds wouldint change, art boards wouldint change because thay are all open to multable MMO envirnments and qualitys depending on the lv of your imagination. the only effect that AQW has and ae games is to give us stuff to talk about and if we choice to, gives us asperations and goals to deifete enemys inside the game. if we branched off to othergames it would split us apart and we'd see less of eachotherthen we already do. the prob is the forum, othergames and MMOs ant fix out community only we can because we are the ones spending time there and not here doing fun activitys and exploring the depth of our imagination, because that and hanging out is all a clan can really be expected to offer. friendship and creative ideas.

I think each of our members should try to log in at least once a day, and try to post at least once..If each of our semi-active members did that, we would probably be a tad bit more active? o.o

I also conquer* with Z's idea about expanding in Whirled.

Re: Taking a step back.

I'll just step in for a moment...and retreat before I can be shot down. Mhm.

Well, I'm not a huge fan of MMOs, or online gaming at all for that matter. I think this clan is too, how do I put it, AQW focused for my tastes. The art here is based around AQWorlds for the most part, the stories take place in Lore, even the Roleplays are mainly based on AE games. I think the writing section needs to expand away from stories about yulgar's inn and towards other things. It might just be me but I'd rather not always have to rely on a game with a chatbox to talk to people. This forum needs some sort of shock to get the community interested in posting here again and not just fleeing back to Twitter, Whirled, Transformice and AQW when it becomes quiet.

The last clan I was in was really socially active. We would talk about TV shows, memories, our lives, music and art but in this kind of forum where everything is so geared towards one theme it is hard to convince people to get off that theme and really talk things out. I just think some expansion is on order to convince people that TR isn't all about AQW and Zards and that is also about the community and the people that make up the community.

...[/retreats]

Re: Taking a step back.

Post by Evangel on Mon Aug 23, 2010 2:48 am

I only suggested those FPS games becasue those are the ones I own that I know have a clan system (albeit, only "tags"). Plus, those are pretty popular right now so I figured a good portion of TR might be into those things.

Whirled, from what I saw, would be a really good place for expanding the artistic side of TR. But, as Lady Morri stated, TR is too AQW oriented. Most of the artwork is inspired by AQW, whether that be good or bad.

I mean, yeah it's "TR - A Clan of AE" but sometimes something like that can restrict a group. I'm not suggesting completely abandoning Artix Entertainment, at it's core TR is a AE clan. But, for the sake of staying active and alive, I believe TR needs to expand into new territory.
