Re: Halo: Reach (Potential Spoilers)
I so want to buy Reach. Problem is, I have about $24. It's $10 minimum to preorder. And the special edition (which I plan to get, mwa haha) Is $130. I earn $100 every month, and my pay day is the day after Reach comes out. So unless I convince my parents for a bit of extra cash, I may just have to go normal.
I am also going to a show this Friday, where there will be Merch. :C
I've also got to preorder Hardened COD: Black Ops for those Nazi Zombie maps.

Re: Halo: Reach (Potential Spoilers)
Lol, Flawsie.
Black Ops looks good, but I'm placing priority in Halo: Reach right now. I'll probably ask for Black Ops when Christmas comes around.
I could go for just the Standard edition, the Limited edition would be a bonus, and the Legendary would be a HUGE bonus. Just as long as I get the game, I'll be happy.
I haven't got any odd jobs this year to get stuff. Usually I'll have some family needing some help, like my grandma, who would pay me for doing stuff. Last year I got about $150 from helping out at my grandma's for a family picnic, but not this year. The year before that, we where working on my grandma's roof and some other stuff and earn a whopping $600! I used that money to put towards the laptop I'm on right now. :)
If I was getting paid for babysitting my sister's kids and her crippled self, I'm sure I'd have Legendary pre-ordered months ago.
But alas, no such luck. Heck, if I had a job I would have gotten it but I wasn't to eager to work at the local McDonald's straight out of high school and did nothing for a year until my sister got in her car accident, now I really don't have a choice in the matter.

Eh I just pre ordered the limited edition. I would have loved to get the legendary but its just way too expensive. I will never get a game that is priced over 100 euro... unless you get like a laser gun

Re: Halo: Reach (Potential Spoilers)
Halo has never been my cup of tea. Halo and Halo 2 were okay, but I found 3 horrible. Firefight was the only good thing about ODST, and this game claims to be the final in the series, which I for one find good. I don't want this series to have as many games as Final Fantasy. Sure, the new ones are cool for younger people, but trust me... It gets old. Offtopic aside, I expect a decent game here. You aren't the lone chief that takes down thousands of people, and it (seems) that the co-op will make everyone a different person, which is the only thing I think Halo 3 got right.
As for buying it, I'm thinking no. I'll try the demo, and then make my final decision, but I'm not expecting all so much from it.

Re: Halo: Reach (Potential Spoilers)
Reach is the last Halo game from Bungie, but since the IP is owned by Microsoft, they are giving the developing rights to Bungie's sister company, 343 Industries. They say that they'll contninue where Halo 3 left off. What that means is unknown, another game, animated series, movie, whatever.
There is no demo, by the way, there was a multiplayer beta in May, but that's it.

Re: Halo: Reach (Potential Spoilers)
Are you not familiar with the concept of the game demo being released a week before the game itself? This is a very common trend for 360 games. I have no interest in a beta, as it is but a beta. I'm going to wait to play the real thing, and not a multiplayer event full of British 10-year-olds that complain when they are killed, but talk a lot of crap when they win. No, I do not like the online community of Halo.

Re: Halo: Reach (Potential Spoilers)
What I'm trying to say is that Bungie/ Microsoft do not plan on releasing a demo, since they already did a MP beta.
So I found out this morning that my madre is getting the standard version of "Halo: Reach" for my birthday. She tried to pull a "I'll get it for you on the 15th" but I countered with a "It'll be completely sold out by then, that's why I said to pre-order."Knowing her, there's an 80% chance she'll eff it all up and I won't be able to get it until Christmas.
Even with that knowledge, I can't help but still feel disappointed for some reason. I suppose it was the delusion that she could have actually got the Legendary package for me that ended up making me disappointed for only getting the Standard version... I really wanted that journal...

Bungie can't do much about that without losing live communication aspect of online play. I'm pretty sure you can mute anyone, but the sheer amount of trolls is a tad overwhelming to conquer.

Re: Halo: Reach (Potential Spoilers)
Every online medium you could possibly use have their fair share of "trolls" and general people you just don't like. XBox Live, PSN, AEF, YouTube, 4chan, etc... It's just the nature of the beast.
Bungie have made an effort to cater to such a service you would like, though, Xusha. "Mute Ban" - If enough people mute you in a lobby, you are temporarily muted to all for a certain amount of time. (I'm guessing 30 minutes - 1hour.) Although not much, it still helps fight against racists, idiots, and squeakers.
On the other hand, since most FPS' are team-based games, you can't just take out communication absolutely.
My suggestions are to either a) Play in a party of friends, or b) if you find a group of people you communicate well with, "Party Up" and play with them.
Also, a Question: Does the amount of leaked content on the internet and through Cons spoil a video game for you, or makes you that much more excited to play?

More excited. I'm not going to buy a game if I don't know what's in it.
In other news, I still haven't preordered. Because it was raining today and I couldn't be bothered walking into town for it.
Buuuut I heard you can forge campaign maps. :3
