Heard the theory Sebi, not impressed, because your rival is always said to be bad because he doesn't love his Pokemon enough, so it doesn't make sense that he would hate you so badly for his Pokemon's death. Yeah, maybe for personal hate for having some of his training wasted, but not to that extent.

actually, while the rival in Red/Blue/Yellow is a bit of a jerk sometimes: he isnt the *hatestheconceptofcaring* kind of Rival, that guy only pops up Silver/Gold/Crystal, the RBY Rival actually does care about his team a lot
