This is a particularly fun one.
Its also heavily flawed, she does brush some good points, but most of what she is talking about is... well, bullshit. Generally implementing a gaming teaching system is a bad idea, you cant really make a good teaching game in any possible way. As well as the no child left behind law. She IS right in that it raises conformity, but not in the male&female sense. The problem with that law is that its unrealistic. You cant just force everyone to work harder and magically create a 100% sucess rate, some kids are just stupider than others, the only physical way of doing is to lower the standards. Moving on, one needs to remember that classes are about 30 students or so, by generally conforming things, not only do the classes become more boring for everyone *leading to a reduced intelligence average*. But it also puts the intelligent children, those smart kids that would become the next Einsteins, it puts them at the same level as the average joes, which is reduced of course. So really, all you end up doing is decreasing interest in learning, decreasing the average intelligence, and handicapping the smart kids. All this for an appearance of a perfect system.
