There's something lagging me when I'm viewing a thread page that prevents me from doing anything for about a minute or so, including clicking links or changing the page. Kind of annoying me so I figured I'd mention it. For reference I'm running the latest version of Opera.

Are you running anything else in the background? Also how full is your comp, my comp got really laggy when I had like half a gig of space left.

My laptop got laggy with age. How old is the system?

-Other than Opera, the only thing usually running in the background is Windows Live Messenger and an odd assortment of processes.
-My comp has 70GB of space left.
-The system is three years old tops.

I'm only experiencing lag on this forum and only when I view threads is the thing.

I'm going to express the same level of intelligence as the IT technitions at my college. HURRRR HAS YOU TRIED CLEARING CACHEE HURR DURRR TURN IT OFF THEN ON AGAIN HUURRRRRRR.

But seriously. Tried clearing cache I assume?

I just cleared my cache and now the problem is even worse.

Yeah, check if cookies are on for this forum. If they aren't, every time you load it it's like you're loading for the first time.

Is there a setting somewhere on the forum that determines whether or not I accept cookies? It's on in Opera and I couldn't find any setting under my forum preferences relating to cookies.

Its on browser settings. Usually internet options but i don't run opera so I have no idea where to look.

Reformat. Install Linux.

Also, try a diff browser, like Chrome. Also: MORE RAM!

I use chrome, no problems for me, ever: maybe just try a different browser? I used safari a while back and at one point, it started lagging like hell

I feel like images, such as pictures of people in that thread, are loading unusually slow. Thats the only problem I'm having.

Is your browser caching them? View your temp files for the browser you're using.
