A hypothetical situation: A man who is used to being picked on purchases a gun. To complete the picture of a law-abiding average joe, we'll say that he has a permit to carry such a weapon. This man goes to a bar, and instead of taking the harassment he might normally take, he has a much higher confidence and is more aggressive to those around him; he knows that he has protection and has a sword of justice on his person.

Oh yes being more aggressive is so much better. So this time he has a gun and decides that he will no longer take how they are treating him. Things escalate, end in a gunfight. Happy end.

I'm actually pro gun control. I love guns, but I wish they didn't exist.
