Sun Jan 10, 2010 10:23 am by V
With all the rank requests recently, I thought I'd make a central thread where they could all be requested.
Costs of ranks:
Custom Rank 7,500 Points
Colored/Bolded Rank 15,000 Points

Re: Chat Revival
Or maybe users can be automatically logged into the chat, seeing as it is generally vacant, users can spot others and get a conversation going.

Re: Chat Revival
Yeah, autologin is the only thing that might actually change anything.

Re: Chat Revival
Autologin would also screw a lot of things up. Some people might not want to talk to others, and just ignoring them would make them look like jerks, or maybe they're just coming on for a short time... Too many issues.

I think Erik is trying to say he doesn't like me. I take great offense to that.

I seriously hope no one here is judgmental enough to think someone is a jerk for choosing to remain silent in a chatbox.
Maybe compromise and have autologin, but put the chatbox back at the bottom of the page? Or even better, do a trial run of autologin and see what everyone thinks. In my opinion autologin is a great idea if you can get past the possibility that some people might not always have something to say.

Re: Chat Revival
I preferred the chatbox's location at the bottom of the page, as well (Uh... Somehow).

Re: Chat Revival
Wouldn't it being at the bottom of the page somewhat equal not logging in? If it's at the bottom the chances are good that you're not noticing it.

Re: Chat Revival
If moving it to the top of the page made it more active maybe we should just move it even higher, dare I say, above the banner.

Re: Chat Revival
I think V said autologin is impossible. HOWEVER, WE PROBABLY SHOULD TAKE IT TO THE TOP.

I say we publicly chastise everyone who refuses to join the chat when they're online.

Re: Chat Revival
This issue is still happening, guys. Come on guys.
I think we should make an initiative in the announcements saying that members should be logged on to chat. I will do so.
