my sister almost strangeld me once. (Im not kidding.) grandma got really mad tough.

Once a dude came into our familys hotel room and threatened us when i was like, 6. I and my little kid instincts hid in the bathroom.

Does being over a 1 and 1/2 mile drop, on a bus, with no guard rail, with everyone trying to push the bus over the edge (I AM SERIOUS) count as a near death experience.

Kaotic is in Auz, I have never really had a near death experience, I have nearly been hit by a few cars a lot though, my friend nearly got electrocuted by a electric fence whilst swimming, his dad saved him.

I had the meningitis that usually kills infants when I was one.

Our Toyota Land Rover almost went over a cliff passing a banana truck while we were in the Andes Mountains in Peru.

While freeclimbing alone (very very stupid) on a rockface in Yosemite, my leg muscles cramped when I was about 25 meters above a boulder field and I hung by my fingernails for the longest 90 seconds of my life.

While going door to door for signatures, a crazy old man pointed a .357 magnum at my forehead and told me he finally caught me (?!) and if I moved a muscle he would blow my brains out.

...but all that isn't as close as some these others are.

Once i was in a truck when i was too young to remember and the engine blew. I only hear stories, but i was told it was scary.

About a year ago, I was in a car with a crazy driver who may or may not have been drinking something that would mess with his/her judgment. And, yes, he/she was of legal drinking age. He/she floored it on a very icy road, got it up to 80, oh and his/her brakes were very bad. We didn't stop, hit a pile of snow that had been piled up by plows, and flew into the air. We flew over a huge ditch placed there to prevent flooding, and landed on the other side. Needless to say, the car was in very bad condition after that, we had to get the h*** out of there, and then wait for a ride from his/her friend to pick us up.
