Login - Yay or Nay?
Pros:
You could play continually, across multiple computers, and you wouldn't have to restart after every week.
Cons:
The passwords wouldn't be encrypted, and I'd be the only one with access to it.
(Meaning I'd have access to your passwords. Only on TRTG ofc.)

Ofcourse, especially when the game gets bigger it would suck when the progress doesn't save.

Seahawks
I can already do it, thanks anyway.
Nelioka
My thoughts exactly.

I don't think so. It would reset every-time I updated the engine I think.
(I'd be doing that a lot. Like 0 chance of me getting it perfect first time.)
I understand your worries though, but unless you want to host the database/gamefiles on the TR site, it'd have to be on mine.

Re: Login - Yay or Nay?
We do need save files, without them, we would be lost. Literally. In a forest. 0.o

I mean, a login with Username/Password, or just information stored on cookies.

Re: Login - Yay or Nay?
I would be happy to purchase some space on GoDaddy to upload game files if need be.
A Username/Password system would be best. Where would that information be stored?

Re: Login - Yay or Nay?
The game files aren't the problem, it'd be the database.
I don't know GoDaddy, but it'd need Multi-User MySQL.
I have everything already, except my MySQL, which is single-user.
The MySQL DB is where the username/password are stored, along with inventory, level and all the other character information.
Forget that ^^ I figured it out :)
I'll carry on tomorrow.

Re: Login - Yay or Nay?
Try both cookies and username/password. but maybe for the beta stage, try a save/load system (?)

@Seahawks
I'm not swapping it around, that'd be a pain.
@Weena
Erm, which one is epic? User/pass?
@Javiersito
I think you misunderstood. You can use them too, but I'll be able to see them.

Re: Login - Yay or Nay?
Isn't godaddy the site with the commercials leading to questionable things, but when when you go to the site, it has nothing to do with those videos?
