<p>
	<strong><span style="font-family:Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;">Welcome one and all to our new section of our forum, namely 'Out and About'</span></strong>
</p>

<p>
	A section open to members and non members alike. Now I am unashamedly pinching a  spot here, but I wanted to cover some items with you all.
</p>

<p>
	Some very nice comments have come my way, on a personal level, concerning the changes to our forum. I may have been the one who 'Picked up the ball and ran with it, but all the changes afforded here where undoubtedly, A Team Effort!
</p>

<p>
	From Allan Westbury who asked us to, 'Take a Look at our forum,' to the Forum Working Party consisting of, Brain Ranshaw, Stan Foster, Tim Burgess and myself, to the tremendous support and encouragement we received, from Mick Forey of the Management Team and of course our very own Wayne Scott. I would tell you all, that from submitting the proposals for change until today.
</p>

<p>
	<u><strong>EVERYONE</strong></u> concerned has pulled in the same direction from those who replied quoting,  'Vitriolic malconts rule', to those who replied hoping some, 'Change would happen' and <u><strong>EVERYONE</strong></u> concerned, deserves a collective, 'Pat on the Back'.
</p>

<p>
	Our forum is now a place where not only keen TR owners can visit, but their wives/partners, grandsons, grand daughters, our European TR owning Pals etc., Indeed anyone at all interested in our cars, without fear of upset, insult or just plain nastiness.
</p>

<p>
	Instead visitors can be sure of help, advice and encouragement, no one knows everything, but our great club, The TR Register, collectively, is the greatest source of knowledge about our cars on the planet, and this forum is the quickest, most efficient way to deliver that knowledge to the four corners of the globe.
</p>

<p>
	I think that our Forum, will be better in the future, and that means by definition, Our Club Will be better in the future.
</p>

<p>
	Many Thanks to you all!
</p>

<p>
	John.

	Hi all,
</p>

<p>
	A very good meet now in its 3rd year happens at the lovely Walled Garden in West Wycombe on the 18th. 16+ car clubs as well as several local TR clubs are attending, there's more than 300+ cars already registered with lots of things to see and do, with not your bog standard food on offer!
</p>

<p>
	It is hosted by Hellfire Motor Club as a fund raiser for mens mental health who hosts regular well attended weekly and monthly events.
</p>

<p>
	Following the huge success of the 2024 event and a slightly damp but successful 2025,  the Hellfire MVC will again play host to The Big Meet, a celebratory display of hundreds of interesting vehicles from far and wide. It’s a day of scenery and machinery, with a licensed bar, food, drinks, local shops and pubs and for the more active, walks and visits to the nearby Hellfire Caves.  Our aim to not only raise funds to help tackle mental health, but as a club, to continue to create regular opportunities for people to socialise and participate - those who would otherwise feel left out and on their own. As we say we’re about the people not just the vehicles.
</p>

<p>
	So, if you own an interesting car, small commercial or bike then book now.
</p>

<p>
	Tickets very affordable -- £10/car! You can buy a car display plus entry online at: <a href="https://tickets.mp/ZXZlbnQ6ODUxNQ==" rel="external nofollow">https://tickets.mp/ZXZlbnQ6ODUxNQ==</a>
</p>

<p>
	Map to the event: <a href="https://maps.app.goo.gl/mfgkgMhf7LNQba3g6" rel="external nofollow">https://maps.app.goo.gl/mfgkgMhf7LNQba3g6</a>
</p>

<p>
	Hope to see you there -- I'm a marshall so you'll see me somewhere along with all the other volunteers <span class="ipsEmoji">😉</span>

<p>Hi,</p>
<p> </p>
<p>I was out on a garden fair / event today with my wife at "Schloss Langenburg".</p>
<p>A nice 55 miles drive there, met some friend there and had a loveley sunny day.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="https://www.trforums.com/uploads/post-13222-0-95184000-1535831090.jpg" data-fileid="28235" rel=""><img src="https://www.trforums.com/uploads/post-13222-0-95184000-1535831090_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="28235" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="post-13222-0-95184000-1535831090_thumb.jpg"></a></p>
<p> </p>
<p>Luckily the family of Langenburg has a automoblmuseum since ages.</p>
<p>Featured by Porsche but right you see a Lotus, left a TR6 RHD and an Alvis open tourer.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><a class="ipsAttachLink ipsAttachLink_image" href="https://www.trforums.com/uploads/post-13222-0-83661200-1535831087.jpg" data-fileid="28234" rel=""><img src="https://www.trforums.com/uploads/post-13222-0-83661200-1535831087_thumb.jpg" data-fileid="28234" class="ipsImage ipsImage_thumbnailed" alt="post-13222-0-83661200-1535831087_thumb.jpg"></a></p>
<p> </p>
<p>My wife bought some plants for the garden and is lucky too.</p>
<p>Came back without any problem with the car.</p>
<p> </p>
<p>Ciao Marco</p>

	Recently returned from a 1400 mile run to the ATDI in Madras, Oregon. We drove our TR250 on some spectacular roads but the temps were around 35/38 deg. A bit hot for me although the car performed fine except for a blown fuse on the horn. The main show was held on the ramp outside the hangar of the Erikson Collection, the largest collection of flying warbirds. TS1 was attending the event too. A few pictures from the event.

	Hi all,
</p>

<p>
	re-inforcing a long held belief that a great time to be driving our cars is on a balmy summers evening, Top-Down and little traffic.
</p>

<p>
	Twice this week, I've finished up on the shores of Ullswater, tootling home around nine, when the roads, indeed the world is ours.
</p>

<p>
	If you don't this, you are missing out, but big time.

	<strong>Sunday 13th September</strong> is the date for this years event. <br />
	The cost has been held at <strong>£15 Per Car</strong> (includes driver and all occupants).
</p>

<p>
	This year, Lea Valley Group are working with the main TSSC management to bring this relatively low cost gathering of any Triumph Classic Car together. Things are still in the planning stage, but the date is set. The price will give access to the event, including the 6 Hangars housing the Shuttleworth Collection, plus the lovely Swiss Garden. Tickets also allow return visits for a further 30 days (excluding event days).
</p>

<p>
	To assist with Admin, the advance payment will be collected by the Shuttleworth Collection and this is open now. The QR code on the flyer below routes you to the payment page or use this link:-

<p>
	We will shortly email anyone who has attended previously, but we really hope we can top the 300 Triumphs this year.

<p>
	It should once again be a great day, so get it in your diary and buy your advance tickets.

	hi, having looked on the 'web can't find anything definitive that says if our historic status / MOT exemption is valid in Europe (particularly in France). has anyone any information as to the requirement? anyone organising any trips abroad that might have an answer?
</p>

<p>
	hope to hear from you soon

	Good afternoon on this fine bank holiday Monday!
</p>

<p>
	I'm planning on attending this event, are any other members from the TR Register going to be there and will there be a TR Register or club area that I could join? I'm in the Birmingham group. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

	We're heading over week Thurs in our '73 TR6 and stopping over nr. Le Touquet for the night, where the next day there's a gathering of UK cars parking up on the beach before heading to Laon for the 3 day 35th anniversary weekend.
</p>

<p>
	Would be nice to meet up / know if you're going as this is a banner year and the event has ±700 vintage cars....(yet I'll send pictures)...

	The weekend of 3-5th October will see the 29th Running of Club Triumph's Round Britain Reliability Run. This time entries have not been as overwhelming as in recent years, when all places were taken up within a couple of days of the event's opening. However, we still expect ninety- odd cars, including some twenty TRs, to leave Knebworth Park, near Stevenage, Hertfordshire, from 18.00 on Friday 3rd October and any members in the area will be most welcome to come and see the crews off. Since the 1990 RBRR the event has had a charitable element, with the Club choosing a Charity to benefit from fundraising by drivers and up to and including the 2023 Run we have now raised a total of almost £900,000 for a variety of worthy causes.
</p>

<p>
	This time the Club selected <strong>Parkinson's UK </strong>as the beneficiary and, compared to the last four Runs donations to date have been somewhat disappointing, due no doubt to current pressures on people's finances. We are using the Wonderful.org fundraising platform, as requested by Parkinson's UK, since this organisation makes no admin charge with every penny pledged going to the Charity.
</p>

<p>
	I am entered in my 1966 TR4A with Mike Hockaday as co-driver - it will be our seventeenth RBRR together in the same car and, hopefully, our sixteenth finish (don't ask!). I have completed a further six earlier Runs in the 4A with other co-drivers. If anyone has been touched by Parkinson's Disease affecting a friend or family member and  would like to make a donation to this deserving cause and assist Team 33's fundraising effort our page can be found at:

	<span style="font-size:14px;">This years annual coast to coast run is based at Ilminster in Somerset and takes place from Sunday May 17th to Wednesday May 20th.   Regular to the run will know that we now stay at a central location and head off to the coast each day in a different direction.  This year will see us explore the south coast around <strong>Dorset </strong> and the north west coast of <strong>Devon</strong>, hence the Double D title. </span>
</p>

<p>
	We are staying at the Shrubbery Hotel in Ilminster on a three night Dinner B&amp;B basis and places are limited so if you are interested in taking your car on a scenic drive over some of the best countryside England has to offer then do get in touch ASAP to reserve you place.  We will also be taking in side trips to the Fleet Air Arm Museum at Yeovil and the Sparkford Motor Museum.
</p>

<p>
	The cost of this trip  will be £450 for a couple staying in a twin or double room and is based purely on what the hotel charges plus the production of the route book and rally plate.  Its most definitely not a profit making enterprise as its organised by members for members.  If that seems expensive then do compare it to what the professional car tour companies charge and you wont see any change out of a £1000!
</p>

<p>
	All that is required is a £100 deposit  payable by bank transfer to my Lloyd's bank account, details on request.
