  1. Hi Steve. As you live in Surrey consider joining the Thames Valley group of the TR Register, we would be glad to welcome you to the group, we meet twice a month, The main meet being on the last Sunday of the month at The Surrey Oaks pub in Newdigate around midday. Bob
  2. I have that sort, & find it to be very good. make sure you get a slightly domes (convex) mirror. some fettling of the mounting bracket is required to allow the door with side screen to open without hitting it. Click on to enlarge Bob
  3. The output of your existing unit is AC, LED's require a DC source unless otherwise specified. Could that be the trouble ? Bob
  4. Nice car where canI buy one ? Bob
  5. Yes, not thesame at all, Wellseal is very runny, Hylomar is thick & sticky Bob
  6. I have been round this several time with a few cars. 1. Repro senders tend not to be correct, in that the floats either hit the shelf, & cannot reach the true base of the tank or the rod is just too short to do so. I have had the re- bend the rod, & / or extend it to reach the base. A wire to push / pull the float up or down is more than adequate to explore the extremes. Bob
  7. Can you not use a long (bent at end) wire to push / pull the float up & down in the the tank via the filler hole ? I have done this many time on my TR3. Use a straightened out wire coat hanger. Bob
  8. It's on the left on my one piece steel cover as from the factory. Bob
  9. Yes, hole near the front on the left hand side, loom emerges from there, then over the top of the cover to the solenoid position, Bob
  10. Very neat, and a perfectly good solution. Bob
  11. It rather depends on whether the car rolling when cornering is annoying for you. My TR3 rolled rather more than I liked, so I added a front ARB. this improved the roll aspect, but made the understeer worse. I then added a rear ARB, & am very happy with the result. much less roll, & understeer, & if you find you need to tighten up on a bend just give more throttle, & the back comes round nicely. I know that for racing. traction is better with no ARB's, but for normal "spirited" driving my setup is great. Bob
  12. Happy new year all Bob

  14. It will have, yes, as do TR2's, 3's, 3A's & 3B's. Bob
