Well done Pete. You’ve achieve your desired end result. I have enjoyed your tr ownership upgrades, trailer tenting and travels. I think we should have a section on the forum for our other cars and bikes to share our passions. or may be post more of these in the chat section. so don’t wander far from this forum Pete

Richard 1st I’d get the fitters back to do it properly 15months is not “fit for purpose” We have recently had a new en-suite and the fitter used dowsil 785 I think the number was. the guy is a true tradesman and only used top stuff so he didn’t have revisits.

America thus Harley’s are still imperial so works for our cars.

Fitting an aluminium sump to a 4 pot engine

My dad used to be a director at Rolls Royce motors and he raced cars from the 1950’s he told me that wellseal was the first sealant that Rolls needed, for a head and aluminium face sealant so they “invented” wellseal” he’d already used it a lot when racing etc and the blue hylomar was developed by the aero division in The late 1950s when fully developing the aero/ jet engines. apparently the engineering management at Crewe ( car division) didn’t allow the blue stuff to be used. dad joined Rolls at Crewe straight after the car aero split when he left to be a director of Vickers (Rolls Royce motors bought vickers) when they merged. the work shop at Crewe really respected dad as one of the very few “top floor suits” to frequently visit them on the shop floor. So they made him a presentation plaque of a widget. So if you ever wanted to know what a real widget looked like this is it. the plate states Presented to Ros in memory of the days when everything was a widget Best wishes from all at Rolls Royce motor cars 28 June 1988 sorry for the thread drift -
I was advised this when I worked at a car body shop where I did the police recovery work the gloves I suggested are a good fit and you can easily handle nuts and bolts in tricky location and don’t have the sweaty Wet hands that the nitrile or surgical type gloves create and don’t rip like the others do either.

I use these. they are not single use and are a plastic covered fabric. just check the size you need. I’ve even “washed my hands” wearing them to prolong their life https://ebay.us/m/fwfrTt

Not that I’m addicted or anything but this is chatgtp aerodynamics suggestion for my car. not sure it’ll be allowed in the silhouette rules

That looks fun reminds me of dads films I'm always on the look out for film of him racing on track hills or sprints in the Alvis DUU900 1976 to 2000 as coverage was poor when he stopped filming and went back racing -
I know what you mean with pics and “seeing things” you you’ve always had to be aware of editorial bias Redtops and broadsheets have always had a bias. sadly we now have the bbc putting an even greater spin on the “news” so yes viewer beware.
