  1. My 3A has been done with a light grey paint on both the engine and chassis. I noticed one of the UK specialists paints their engines and chassis in a very similar light grey. On the black and white film, could it be the chassis shown there is actually light grey and not white. This colour has been chosen for a reason not known to me.
  2. Getting in and out of my 3a is pure luxury compared to the MGA coupe I had before it. The MG had such short doors I had to get hold of my leg to pull it inside.
  3. a version without a couple of spelling mistakes TR2.pdf

  7. I intended to enter my '57 TR3A but unfortunately couldn't make it this year. Hopefully I will make it for next years event where ever it may be. It has too many non standard bits on it to enter the standard class

  12. I got this one off ebay. I just searched leather steering wheel cover and this was made for me to the measurements I gave them. Diameter of wheel plus circumference of the grip. Choice of colour and stitching. I was lucky as it was a perfect match to the interior of the car. The difference is my rim was wood not the standard plastic
  13. Just an update on the lubrication charts I have been working on. These are available as mentioned in the latest edition or the TR Register magazine. Each is available as a PDF print ready version on request from the TR Register
  14. My lift was sold as a parking lift. It is advised if working on vehicles to bolt it to the ground and bolts were supplied. I haven't bolted it down as its mainly used for storage reasons and only light maintenance work is carried out on it as both my cars have been previously fully restored. Lifting equipment legislation like most other legislation only comes into effect in a commercial situation as you say "safety at work" Safe working practices would dictate it would be safer to bolt it down and perhaps in the future I may do so. The lift is a brilliant solution to my storage issues and enables me to clean the underside of my vehicles as required to keep them in show condition.
  15. This has to be my best purchase in years. I store one on top and my other car underneath
