  1. Excellent - well found Gravity at work - we can all relax now. Roger
  2. This was raised on the forum last year or so. I think the outcome was that H4 LED's could be retro fitted but needed to be properly set up. Roger
  3. Hi Paul in the pic with the isolator switch there appears to be a blanking plug in the side of the top cover near side. I think this could be for a reverse switch - well worth fitting if it is so. Roger
  4. There is a simple reason - incompetence. Triumph spares have shown over the years that there is no limitation to their ability to do things wrong. Roger
  5. Hi Paul couldn't be easier Remove the screw at the rear of the cap Undo and remove the long bolt Pull up the cap Puill up the lever and prepare to catch the spring loaded plunger Roger
  6. Are you sure it is not coming from the water paump area and running around and down. Roger
  7. Hi Harry if the bolt hole centreline is in the same plane as the TRunion threasded hole then it will work correctly The camber will be affected only if the two centrelines are different to standard. Roger
  8. Hi Pete, Well done - excellent feedback regarding the thinner 'O' rings to act as compressors for the main 'O' ring there is usually a flat disc (nylon washer) fitted that spreads the load evenly I liked the idea of the Jubilee clip to help grip the switch. I tend to use a thin piece of metal wrapped around the switch for the Swan neck pliers to grip. Roger
  9. I'm sure the PU bushes are a snugger fit so that they form a decent moisture/water seal and stop things going rusty. I may be wrong Roger
  10. No matter how many breathers you have it is always handy having the 1/8" hole at the front left hand corner. Roger
  11. Hi Pete clearly that hole can't be a breather - why would a solid steel rod want to breath !! That small hole is typical in aerospace for welding blind tubes. Why haven't the other rods got this breather !!!! Roger

    WPLW reloaded

Back in the late 50's my family GP, during his home visit rounds, would pop in my mums house to scrounge a ciggie ( nothing more - honest) He smoked like a chimney. It got him in the end - but he was in his 80's Roger
  13. Hi Don, your pragmatic approach appears to be workng. Keep going. years ago, before thread locker, some assembly lines (electronic units) would use paint across the top of the screw head and onto the surrounding body to hold the screw. Not sure if the paint was purple Roger
  14. This is the boot that I knocked up. It doesn't look special but I was trying to see what the smallest fit would be. It would work if really required Roger
