I’m in the process of stripping, cleaning and rebuilding the suspension on our 1972 CP TR6. Cleaning for inspection the front upper and lower arm bushes I’ve noticed they are not a material I recognise. It has the appearance of white ABS plastic but deforms under pressure. It’s hard to the extent it requires a vice or mole grips to squash. The plan is to rebuild with Super Pro (blue) bushes which I am thinking will be more compliant than what ever these bushes are! Hi All Can anyone help with a part recommendation? So part the number is UKC2451 and is the flexible fuel pump mounting for original Lucas fuel pumps. I bought some a good whie ago, although not sure when, as the old ones were all cracked and split. The new ones looked diff, a bit less substantial but hey its just a mounting so how hard can that job be. Well flippin difficult it seems. As you can see from the pic's one of the new ones has already failed with the threaded plate not longer "stuck" to the rubber. Its obvs to see why, the original is a lot more substantial and the rubber is much more moulded around the threaded plates rather than stuck on the end. Now I understand things like this will fail eventually but the 50 year old item is in much better condition that the 4 or 5 year old one esp given the original had done 70k plus miles and the new one has done precisely ZERO miles as my car is not even on the road. So the question does anyone know of anyone who sells a etter quality item or is it take pot luck and replace them regularly. Cheers Keith

Hi All Just a quick note to moan about poor parts, doh. When I dismantled my poor old 6 I notice the grille badge was a little scabby. Decided I didn’t want one of the foil things so hunted for an Enameled one, but not expensive. And I found a new one locally, some guy selling all sorts of spares out of his shed, looked great. Not 100% but nice enough, lettering a bit thin but hey bargain, Yeah. Until that is a found it does not fit the mounting plinth, because it’s just not curved correctly. GRRRR. Trouble is because it enameled and the black is basically glass is I force it to ben it will just crack and I’ll be back to square one. Can’t remember exactly where the guy was and it was ages ago so lesson learned. I suppose I could fit it anyway as who looks that close at the grille. Cheers Keith

Guidelines as originally written by contributor Alec Pringle for the TR Register Technical Team. "This schedule I've just revised to take into account the April 2015 Royal Mail changes, and I've appended a link to this post so that anyone can refer to for their own reference. Living in a rural area, I have the carriers collect the parcels, MyHermes and UPS alike – those of you in more populated areas may be able to save a few bob by using the local parcel shop dropoff facility. Thankfully we do still have a Post Office. The schedule is quite simply the amount that I charge for P&P on my ebay listings, and covers UK, Europe and Worldwide. I can't be bothered with Royal Mail's World Zones 1 and 2, I just round up to an average. Prices take into account the 15% that has to be added to cover eBay and PayPal fees, not everyone realises that P&P bears commission just as does the item sold. Also taken into account is a modest amount for packaging – bubble envelope, board envelope, carton and bubblewrap, whatever. I find that I can source some decent packaging from the village shops (the electrical shop is especially good, as is the car main dealer), the local industrial estate, the bike shop in the neighbouring town for panel size boxes, and what I can't scrounge I buy on ebay from - http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Packaging-Monkeys My packaging is on a very simple principle – I assume that parcel depot rock apes will either kick my parcels with their steel toe caps, or play rugby with them in the yard. So I pack to withstand that. And I've not yet had anything broken in transit (famous last words!). And the label gets sellotaped all over, it can't come off."
