  1. It is recommended to use the "Moss" Surrey glass seal Request to Moss shows that as they are now all one company with Rimmer : any request for the seal would be sent out from Lincoln from Rimmer There are clearly different manufacturers Any ideas? MichaelH
  2. Hi All you surrey top fitters Got a friend who can't fit his "original" surrey top back light to the TR4 he is building up because it has lumps on the underside Any information or ideas or opinions as to significance of these lumps and what to do to fit the back light to his car? Thanks in advance Michael H
  3. Help required. I need to replace the little elasticated straps that clip the Surrey soft top to the A and B posts. I have some elastic (the easy bit) but can't seem to find a supplier of the small rivets that hold it to the top and the clip. These rivets are the same each side (dome headed) and are approx 9mm diameter (5/16ths old money). Anyone know where to get these and what tool is required to attach them. Those holding the clip have to attach the elastic, vinyl and clip together so need to be long enough to do that. Keith
  4. The 5 that I am restoring was originally fitted with a soft top and at some point in the 70's was fitted with a Surrey top - all Stanpart units, steel top etc. When I removed to rear screen I found that the original rivnuts from the soft top installation were still in place. Would I be well advised to remove the rivnuts and will the studs on the backlight just need the securing nuts and washers as a direct replacement to secure the back screen? Stuart - you spotted the rivnuts when you saw the car. Appreciate your views. Many thanks Tim
