Lebro Posted January 26, 2015 Report Posted January 26, 2015 Anybody else having trouble uploading photos ? Done it loads of times before, but now get "server error during upload" message. I have plenty of upload allowance left - so it's not that . Bob. Quote

Barry911 Posted February 1, 2015 Report Posted February 1, 2015 I know this is dotted around the forum, but is there an 'official posting photo's guide' anywhere? Or, have I got this right, and one method is to have a Photobucket style account, and simply cut and paste the URL into your actual text, or do you need to use a command of some sort? On DDK we have a posting photos sticky, as it crops up time and time again, although on there we have to use an 'img' command to post URL's. I'd like to post a belated introduction (yes I know, bleeding cheek after 70 odd posts), and need to pop some pictures up. Quote
Lebro Posted February 1, 2015 Author Report Posted February 1, 2015 I believe that pasting a URL into your text does still work, but this means you have to transfer any photo you wish to post onto the URL site first. Up till last week you could use the "More reply options" tab to upload a photo (.JPG for instance) direct to your post. You are limited as to how much storage you are allowed to upload (1.95 MB) At present this option does not work, hopefully it will return soon. Bob. Quote
Barry911 Posted February 1, 2015 Report Posted February 1, 2015 Thank you Bob, I thought I'd seen something other than the Photobucket type option. I'll attempt to start an account with a picture hosting site and give it a try. Quote

Wayne Scott Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Our service providers it appears had done some updates on our hosting server which caused us issues with read / write facilities to some areas of the forums program. We are now untying a bit of a mess and we hope to resolve this in the next 48 hours or so. Please be patient. Quote
andy Posted February 2, 2015 Report Posted February 2, 2015 Thanks so long as your aware of it,I can be patient. The Duke Quote
Wayne Scott Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 We have remapped the troublesome server files. We were migrated to a different server by our ISP as our on-going battle to keep running speeds acceptable on shared server space. This should be working fine now. Cheers, Quote
Guest ntc Posted February 3, 2015 Report Posted February 3, 2015 Wayne Just tested it working fine ta Quote
Lebro Posted February 15, 2015 Author Report Posted February 15, 2015 Yep agree Thanks for sorting Bob. Quote
Crawfie Posted March 10, 2015 Report Posted March 10, 2015 I tried to download photos last night, with no joy whatsoever. Is the problem back or is it just me !! (don't answer that one !!) Quote
BlueTR3A-5EKT Posted April 29, 2025 Report Posted April 29, 2025 (edited) The problem is alive and kicking on the TRR Classified web page. I have tried to upload 2 phots of under 500 kb each to an advert with no sucess. I have used, with no outcome. iPad running ios18 using Safari and Firefox Focus iMac running os 10.13 using Safari, and Firefox Windows 11 PC using Opera, Firefox and Edge As far as I can establish advert blocking has to turned off in at least one of my browsers, surely. I have sent this info to the TRR using the web page contact us form. Peter W PS To prove a point the photos are below. Edited April 29, 2025 by BlueTR3A-5EKT Quote
RobH Posted April 29, 2025 Report Posted April 29, 2025 The photo seems to be labelled "IMG_0912copy.thumb.jpg.7179d3db4cc1fd06a21de81b011b916c.jpg" Peter. If that is what you are using it might be confusing the software because of all those full stops and ".jpg" is in there twice. You could try editing the name to just "Idler.jpg" and see if that is accepted ? Quote
