RogerH Posted June 21 Report Posted June 21 Just back from Cornwall. Apologies for Stuart. We didn't pop in to see him and we were just around the corner from him at Veryan bay at the Nare hotel. Rod1883 Posted June 25 Report Posted June 25 Nice little run out to Goodwood for one of the GRRC Sundowner events. It was a bit hot for the beef lasagne we had pre ordered but it was very good and a pleasant evening parked up on the grid with other GRRC'ers. Must admit though that the membership is now very skewed toward modern supercars. Upon getting home and opening the bonnet to let out the heat I found that the bonnet strut bracket had fallen off the front edge of said bonnet, thankfully no obvious damage to anything in the engine bay. Must admit I thought I heard a new rattle as we were driving home. Anyway, the two bolts/set screws that attach the the bracket to the captive nuts in the bonnet leading edge have been lost. Does anyone know what size they are? Quote

Today we visited the historc built AVIA pertol station at Kniebis (Schwarzwaldhochstraße) and had a chat with some UK guys. Alas I decided to come home via the A22 and got lost twice - that'll teach me to ignore the Satnav. Yes. removed the inline glass filter (I even have a new spare) and replaced with some decent R14 rubber hose. Yesterday (Sunday) the dimpled Ali foil for the heat shield arrived so that may go on today. I will also be investigating pipe insulation. Roger Quote

I have picked up plenty of that dimpled, ali heat sheild material whilst walking the dog....I suggest you spend a lot more money keeping a pet which, could be seen to come out of the house hold budget and not the meagre left overs for our four wheeled friends 😁 Quote

I'm now doing goldfish (I must stop going to the local fair) and they are becoming NOT cheap. Mind you, a dead goldfish can easily be replaced by a carefully sculpted piece of carrot.
