AndrewMAshton Posted September 30, 2018 Report Posted September 30, 2018 Been to see my brother-in-law in mid-Wales, came back on the A483 from Builth Wells to Newtown, what a fantastic road, 60mph for most of the time, only a couple of villages and very quiet, all told 200 miles Erwood to Harrogate, did it in one, stiff as a board when I fell out of the car in Harrogate, the dog slept all the way. It helped it was dry and sunny, cheers, Andrew Quote

Richardtr3a Posted September 30, 2018 Report Posted September 30, 2018 CCC (Classic Cars and Coffee) meeting in Plumpton Green, Sussex. A wide variety of cars Austin 7 , Dodge racers, Ferrari, Porsche a drag racer and all very friendly. No concours boys worried about the finish on the sump. One car was the winner in overcoming the lead in petrol problems. His engine was designed for the available fuel in the year of construction. 1919. There was no lead in the petrol that year. Quote

You can follow our progress on my just giving page www.justgiving.com/fundraising/ben-freer2 Hi Folks, well, we managed to get 161 cars off at 6pm with a precision LeMans start - actually it was a nice tidy single file 10mph rumble to the A1. Good to see Ben and Vicky there. I'm glad they have a good selection of songs to sing to each other. There was a well worn Herald coupe - rare cars now, Driven by two dainty bumble Bees. I'll posts a picture later. Well done CT Roger Edited October 5, 2018 by RogerH Quote

Ben Freer Posted October 6, 2018 Report Posted October 6, 2018 It's sunny up here now. Vicky has been singing Monty Python's "We're not dead yet" from Spamalot.....although we are feeling half way there. Had a very cold night. Both looking like Michelin men! Wayne's Grinnall was growling nicely although I'd hate to be paying his fuel bill! Quote
