Are they the wheels the car came with?

They look like '69 model year TR6 rims with USA 185  red-stripes.

Peter you are correct, these are from a Californian 6 rebuild i did back in the 90s my 5 wheels are sitting in boxes at the back of the garage

Tracking is also out on my head as i have bald patches there

the 5 has surprised with the amount that has come loose with the odd stubborn ones however thats why we have grinders and long wrenches

Thanks Pete its been a long time coming but underway and body nearly stripped plan for body lift off is Oct 10th will post more pics soon

Well body tub nearly stripped a few broken bolts to drill out remove harness and air vent

see pics of body tub rust. ok not blasted but not looking a total basket

looked solid 28 years ago but seems to have gone in both rear sills/floors

a liitle on the rear valance and bulkhead a small hole which will be bigger once blasted ???

bump stop broke through so guessing just needs capping off again

 i have i think NOS inner and outer sills in the loft

thinking of getting a price for a professional job or might take the plunge myself ????

Hi All

still stripping but looking at the chassis

where is the best place for accuracy quality and price for chassis replacement items

trailing arms, rear repair section, diff strengthen kit front strengthen kit rear bumper bracket (drivers side welded to the tube, the tube fell off )

any thoughts welcome

yeah i saw this at £900 seems a good price but like the tail of the cheap chassis for £2000 that a member bought from another member but when on a jig was a disaster

so was going to use mine i know where its been the last 37 years

i spoke to colin and he has my email so hopefully he will reply with prices ???????

Looks a good one to me.

Well for the first time since 1969 the body has left the chassis

trailing arm sections look ok on first glance so just that passenger side rear section or it would have been perfect

chassis strip this weekend then off to the shotblasters, then we will find out the truth

PS thanks son for helping me lift it off

Interesting way of body bracing there Dave! I would move them to the inside of the door apertures aa where they are you risk distortion of both decks. This is a more appropriate brace.

ok will do got my welder sorted it was an easy bolt on job to get the body off
