Hi James, many thanks for the suggestion, I like that their thingie can also pay for lots of car parks too.

Maybe I should add for clarity that the Ulys site and badge is part of Vinci Groupe, one of the concessionaires I mentioned above. I only used them, as being fairly local to me, it was convenient to get my badge from them soome years ago. There are others.

BUT there is a whole industry out there acting as agents for the sale of these badges. Buyer beware!

👆 was exactly why I posted my question as even well respected British motoring websites are warning about scam sites... 👆

How does this work with the  ‘fluide’ roads where the tolls booths are gone and they read your number plate?  you then need to pay online within a certain period of time.     I’m thinking the A road out of Rouen towards Paris.   Do you need to register multiple vehicle registrations against one ‘pass’ James?   Is there an appeal system where you can challenge the rate charged, ie You are driving a classe one vehicle but get occasionally identified at classe two ?

Ah! I discovered this and the answer rather by chance - on the section of autoroute between Rouen and Deauville.

If you have a badge on board it will seek it out.

If you don't have a badge you pay online afterwards with your credit card - your car registration will have been recorded.
Bit like the Thames bridges, non?
