If you go to an extinguisher company they will supply and fit the extinguishers on the correct brackets on the wall and also the relevant signage to current H&S requirements. It is the best way and your insurance company will be happier as well.

Just a bit of an update on the Alvis and its new home.

the car is en route just off Malaysia at the moment.
eta beginning of May.

its new home is ready and safety fire extinguishers mounted throughout the long garage space. Thanks for the advice.
led lights and sockets fitted.
tools and consumables shelved. But still to be finalised when the Alvis is in.
as it will be taking up ALL the available space.

I’ve planned it so the Alvis goes in first. But that may change ?

we also have a garden shed/store built on as we have lost a big shed I have my new tyre racks in there too.

There will be some Whitworth sizes on it, especially on the fuel system. EBay is your friend there as there’s always some on there. I was lucky and bought a Snapon Whit socket set when they discontinued them and it’s been very useful along with the Whit spanners from back in the day

As it is basically a 1930s car, it's probably mainly BSF .   If so, UNF spanners don't fit even though they are to imperial AF dimensions as this table shows.    (BSW and BSF use the same spanners though the numbering is different)

Thanks guys.
I plan to be with my mum next weekend so will have a look at what’s left of my dads stash.
can’t pinch everything as there is still an  sp250 on axle stands in a garage which may need tools to move it one day.

Excellent bet you can’t wait, have you got to go and pick it up from the docks, then home via Mums.

Great little film Hamish. Do you have any pictures of it in its original ex factory form?
