Hamish Posted July 15, 2025 Report Posted July 15, 2025 Hi Folks this is a bit of an experiment to test the waters with a video of one of my runs with the telemetry that a GoPro camera will provide. let me know if you think it’s adds anything to the viewing enjoyment. i already think that the g force thing can be done away with. feed back welcome. BRENDA1 Posted July 15, 2025 Report Posted July 15, 2025 (edited) Hi great video as always, yeah its just a red dot moving around, like the speedometer. Mike Redrose Group Edited July 15, 2025 by BRENDA1 Quote
BlueTR3A-5EKT Posted July 15, 2025 Report Posted July 15, 2025 The red bobble seems pointless as is the compass direction. Track position is good thing as is digital speed. Quote
Hamish Posted July 15, 2025 Author Report Posted July 15, 2025 (edited) Thank guys. Peter sadly the compass is part of the speed icon so can’t have that one without the other. Edited July 15, 2025 by Hamish Quote
john.r.davies Posted July 15, 2025 Report Posted July 15, 2025 Isn't the red dot showing "G", fractions of the force of gravity on the Earth's surface, shown in direction due to acceleration/braking and cornering? John Quote

John Yes John. It is but the 3a doesn’t have that much force in any direction to get the sensor that excited 🤣 Quote

Hamish Posted July 16, 2025 Author Report Posted July 16, 2025 (edited) Not sure but some race bodies require position transponders, full front and rear cameras with telemetry linked to the cars ecu via obd and can cost £,000 even for club motorsport you need a way for the system to read the revs so a reasonably complex electronic ignition system ! I have still got points and condenser so no chance of showing revs. My telemetry is free with the camera, gps and accelerometer. You can get phone apps like TrackAddict that does similar.
