Hi Guys, its a long time since I've been in the Forum, essentially as I couldn't get it, Lol.

In January my garage was burgled and amongst the things that were taken were 4 brand new, boxed KONIG REWIND Wheels, which I had imported from the USA. These appeared on Ebay about a month later and I tried to buy them, unsuccessfully. I found the Facebook page of the guy selling them and took screen shots of his comments about them and photos of them in his home. The Police said there wasn't enough evidence! I think them may have been bought by a chap in Devon. I have attached some photos below that may help in finding them if they suddenly turn up on a Triumph as they won't really fit much else.

Thanks for reading.

My mate had a set of Range Rover wheels stolen off his drive in daylight. He was going to fit them later that evening. people saw it happening and thought it was just scrap collectors. Two neighbour provided video evidence with reg number etc and the thieves pictures. Police said there was not enough evidence, which I think means we cant be arsed.

Hi Dave, you should have reported them to Ebay as being stolen, they may at least have taken the ad down.

What gets me about this post is the Police reaction, which is not unique to here it’s a pretty common theme - as has already been pointed out, they can’t be arsed.

Have the ‘powers that be’ not worked out that we have ‘cause and effect’ operating here? The more the Police ignore this sort of crime the greater the encouragement to the low lifes who commit them.

You could guarantee that if the item was stolen from a politician the Sweeney would have been out in force with helicopters and dogs, us plebs just don’t count!

Nobody cares anymore! It seems all the police manage to do is get themselves in the news nearly every week because of some criminal action by one or more of their number! I have given up on this broken Country.

I recently heard that some of the new intake at our local (20miles away) police station had to be sent back for retraining because they didn't like confrontation!

The world has gone mad, we have fast track, university graduates no doubt selected because of their gender and ethnicity to do a hands on job like a police officer and meanwhile ex service personnel are on the dole

That is how it seemed to go here too Phil. Thanks for your comment.

Hi Stuart, I hope you are well. I did report it to Ebay twice, never heard anything back from them.

Cheers, Dave.

Speeding tickets! Are you sure? I live in a tiny rural village where speeders are a real problem and the number of tickets issued over the last few years is precisely zero.

Hi Folks

I know a number of police men and they are all good people.   Many through the scouts and other voluntary services.

The problem is the institution. Governed by HSE, GDPR, etc etc.  They can't do the job they want to.

Then you have the media who pick up and critisise every action.

You are right ofcourse Roger but unnfortunately when our current wishy-washy form of society has run it's course the result will not be somthing middle of the road, the pendulum will swing an equal amount the other way which is also far from good, and our fine upstanding media will be leading that as well.

Sorry to say where we live they do absolutely nothing for a community suffering burglary record shoplifting, knife crime. It’s like the Wild West.

All they need to do is enforce existing laws which they fail at every level. It’s nothing to do with the wokery pushed from the looney left.

Only way out is to move to somewhere more rural where I’ll happily settle for a few speeding motorists!

Plus the odd Hare coursing gang, home invasion and burglaries and then there is the farms having hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of machinery stolen but apart from that it's perfect. Opps I forgot the fly tipping.

Let's face it things could be better

Certainly could be better if they had the will to crack down

Then there are the Judges! Pathetic punishments but of course prisons too full to put the riffraff! A disgrace that those 2 who cut down the tree received only 4 years (out in 2 or less). A mess indeed.

You need to adopt the south London ‘rat run’ speed control system

Leave house bricks in the road.
