Hero Summer Trial

Congratulations to Nigel and Sally (bleednipple) who finished 8th overall and 1st in class on last weekends Summer Trial Regularity Rally in their TR4. They were leading at one stage on the last morning, but slipped back, To give people an idea how close this event was the winner had 1.18 seconds of penalties and Nigel and Sally had just 2 minutes and 6 seconds of penalties .  With 68 finishers

The event was based over 3 days.

I was marshaling on the last control on the last regularity and wondered why Nigel had steam coming out of his ears at our control they must have known at that stage they had lost a win. Still not bad for a car that was on the naughty step at the start of last years Rally of the Tests when it failed to fire up at the start of the event. You must have put some hours into it Nigel to get such a good result.

Also congratulations to Dave and Jackie in their TR4 who finished a very creditable 17th overall and 3rd in class.

Unfortunately the TR6 entered didn't finish.
