TR5 starter motor wanted

As per for sale wanted section mine didnt work when checked at the local auto electrician and several parts required which no one has

Anyone got a TR5 starter motor for my restoration ??

Try this company David been around for awhile and should sort yours or failing that Richard Crewreed  who will have a stand on the All Triumph Day Shuttleworth 7th September

It might help if you told us what model starter you are looking for David.    According to the Moss catalogues the TR5 and TR6 used the same starter which could be either an M418G (Lucas 25626) or a 2M100 ( Lucas 25647).      Apparently the the TR250 was different and used an M35G (25022 or 25079)

Hi David,

             You could try Chris Witor of the Triumph 2000, 2500, 2.5. Register, he's got a whole bunch of stuff that may be compatible.

I have the starter motor from my 5 project car which is now no longer needed as I got one from Rich C-R. I have no idea what condition it is though.

Hi All

My 5 was fitted with the N418G lucas 25626E so assuming thats what i am after

My TR6 starter is Lucas 25714A Model 2M100
