greasemonkey Posted August 8, 2025 Report Posted August 8, 2025 It seems that if you are intending to go into the museum at the TR Gaydon event and you are not in a TR you have to pay full whack - £20 - rather than £13 members fee !! Not a good deal !! Phil. Quote

TR graham2 Posted August 9, 2025 Report Posted August 9, 2025 Thank you Stuart see you there . graham Quote
Grahamgl Posted August 18, 2025 Report Posted August 18, 2025 But you have to pay an entry fee if you need to use the loos. Quote
RogerH Posted August 18, 2025 Report Posted August 18, 2025 Hi Graham I think the loos are at the front of the entrance hall. Yopu pay further along. So they should be free - but a long walk from where the cars are. Roger Quote
TR graham2 Posted August 18, 2025 Report Posted August 18, 2025 We have seperate outside facilities, so no need to pay to spend a penny , totally free event unless you wish to enter museum . see you there Quote
Paul Hogan Posted September 1, 2025 Report Posted September 1, 2025 I went to the concours event at Gaydon yesterday and was told that if you wanted a up of coffee it would cost you £13 to get into the museums cafeteria plus the £3.50 for what was really only half a cup. You didn't need to pay to access the toilets as Gaydon provides an outside toilet block on the far right of the car parking area. The really disappointing thing for me is that there is an outside catering truck on the car park which wasn't open. Bad planning or what? Surely someone could have arranged for that to have been opened? Obviously Gaydon want people to pay to go into the museum but as they do have a lot of breakfast club meetings there it seems odd that they have allowed a catering truck on site but not to have it open on the day we were there. I thought the attendance was also well down on what should have been a large TR event. Perhaps as it was only billed as a the concours event and that it was being held outside put people off coming. Of course not everyone who was there came in a TR, myself included, and the Non TR car park was quite full so perhaps I'm being a bit negative. However, the museum did seem to be doing rather well with family entrances judging by the queue at the door Hoges. Quote
stuart Posted September 1, 2025 Report Posted September 1, 2025 Well I was there and thought for just a one off concours only event I thought it was well attended especially with it being outside with the rather iffy weather that was forecast. Concours is traditionally an indoor event for obvious reasons so well done everyone for turning out. If you wanted a cuppa I notice a lot of people brought flasks etc, be prepared. nice to see Graham Andrews new Italia looking stunning and also good to see Paul Harvey for the first time in a long time, glad he is feeling a lot better now. Stuart. Quote
