I have passwords in my apple keychain for the club site and the forum.

I sign in fine on Mac to the forum but on my apple mobile it won't accept my password.

I think if I sign in to the club site on my phone it will allow me to migrate to the forum. What unearth is the problem? Is it me being thick or some technobobble glitch on the tr register or forum site?

Thanks Ken

This may have come about because of the log-in changes that followed the splitting-off of the forum from the main site.

Have a look at your password list Ken.    Do you have two entries for the same URL (TRforums.com) but with different usernames and passwords?   If so I think the system just uses the first one it comes to on the list which might not be right any more -  it never tries the second one. You may have to delete them and then log in again manually so the keychain can re-store just the correct details.

I changed the forum password as prompted by the club as it was too weak. It lets me sign in with the new one on my Mac but not my phone.

Do we definitely have to have separate passwords for the forum and main site?

Nothing is easy with puters.

Thanks Rob

No you don't have to have separate passwords but the keychain goes by the URL as I explained above.  If you have a duplicate in your list it is possible the phone keychain is trying to use an old one rather than the latest.

Ken, check your Cloud settings and make sure you've enabled password sync (Settings -> iCloud -> menus) as shown in screenshot below:

Then click on Passwords and make sure "Sync this iPhone" is on:
