TR5/6 OE Reconditioned Brake Servos

Hi everyone - I have an opportunity to acquire a small batch of used original TR5/6 brake servos - they are very expensive to get properly reconditioned, such that I would have to price them at around £325 to make it worthwhile - I'm not going to commit to that sort of outlay without knowing if there are likely to be any interested purchasers so this post is to test the water .

Would anyone out there be interested in one of these units if I was to go ahead?

Would they not come cheaper if you done them on a one for one exchange basis?

Niall - at a projected price of £325, over 90% of the cost is the pure reconditioning - I'm sure someone would do it for less but then the quality would almost certainly suffer - no business could work  on that margin but I'm not a business so I do it for the love of it  -more fool me! But if the general consensus is that this is simply not viable, and people are not prepared to pay that sort of money, I won't do it - I did see Rimmers advertising a modern Delphi/Lockheed unit for £335.

That price is for the inline servos for TR2/3/4/4a theres only listings for aftermarket versions of the TR5/6 ones at £136.00.

Got a brand new OE one for a stag if anyone’s interested £250

Rich...I would not bother as there are brand new alternatives available...Even non stock units..eg..twin diaphagm Volvo.

Past parts will not refurb pattern ones which tells its own story.I had three pattern ones from a major outlet some years ago and all failed so had my original rebuilt by Past Parts.

Worked well.

Changed out to the Volvo one, two years ago and that is a game changer thanks to Fat Bob.

All of Rich's parts are top quality.
