IanCoop Posted October 5 Report Posted October 5 Hi! I am looking to replace my injector bushes (nylon, push fit with o-rings) but don't know how to get them out of the throttle body without damaging things. Does anyone have any handy tips please? Thanks Quote
PodOne Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 Welcome to the forum Ian. From memory I think I used a small screw driver and gently levered them out. I'm sure others will be along to offer advice as well. Andy Quote
Tom B Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 Probably a good idea to use the keeper. Leave it in place and lever on that (removing the nut... and push to one side). I always use silicon grease on the O rings but if they have been in a while they can be awkward. Replacement O rings from Polymax: Good Luck Quote
harrytr5 Posted October 7 Report Posted October 7 I/4" wood chisel. Tap into the nylon without going through and just prise out. Regards Harry Quote
Steve-B Posted October 8 Report Posted October 8 1. Hold metal injector with soft pliers from the end the fuel line goes into 2. Get wife's hair dryer, put on medium, point at nylon bushing for ±1min 3. Gently pull it away from you with a set of pliers, and it should slide right off (forgot to add) 4. Wipe wife's hair dryer off, sneak back into the house before she discovers what you're doing 😉 Quote
