Oulton Park Saturday 18th October

The CSCC have a meeting at Oulton Park on Saturday 18th October 2025. The Swinging 60’s race has a full grid of 38 cars with 7 reserves. The entry includes my TR6, driven by my Grandson Bailey, with 2 more 6s, a 4, a Vitesse and a Spitfire.  Also a dozen Spridgets, 5 Minis, various MGBs, Lotus, TVR, Reliant, Datsun 240Z, etc. 

Worth a day out.  If you’re there come and say hello.

Bailey qualified 7th out of 39 and first of 3 TR6s in 7th, 8th & 9th positions on the grid. 
He finished 5th overall, despite a misfire in the last few laps. Best TR6, albeit behind the very quick TR4 of Mark Campbell and Ben Ferguson. 
A satisfying end to the season.

Congrats to Bailey, and his mentor, Dave!

I came a lowly fifth from last, but was wholly without the inability to stay on the black stuff that so marked my previous race, at Silverstone in June.   So much so that the Cletk asked me up  to enquire if I was "Alright"!   My best lap was a personal best at Oulton!

And that's it until.next year.  Life is waiting to race!

Yes Roy, roles fully reversed now. 
I’m mechanic to Bailey, my retained driver. I’ve got him signed up for next season.
 I don’t think Toto gets his hands dirty.
