stuart Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 I did reply on that thread, TBH a combination of the original lead not being replaced properly and the rubber being too tight is I think the problem rather than the glass, Graham will be able to offer more advice Stuart. Quote
TR graham2 Posted October 18 Report Posted October 18 Having communicated with the owner , it’s not one of the Pilkington screens from the Run that Paul Harvey did back in 2016 , there are some others out there that do not fit at all which looking at the pictures he sent me is most likely one of those made by Euroglass , even the repro ones from Pilkington may require a slight amount of grinding to fit , also you need the correct screen Rubbers not the ones supplied by some suppliers , also the screen in the picture is not correctly fitted you need to insert the mouldings prior to fitting the screen even for a trial !! Not an easy restoration is a Italia Quote
