doretti Posted November 20 Author Report Posted November 20 (edited) The aircraft was indeed a De Havilland DH.104 Dove owned by Helliwells Ltd. and based at Walsall Airport - however I was more interested in where, when and why the passengers were onboard. Some other photos, suggest the location may have been Le Mans. Helliwells Ltd was the parent company of Swallow Coachbuilding Company (1935) Ltd. and from 1946 to 1951, produced the Swallow Gadabout motor scooter and some bodywork for prototypes of the Triumph TR-X. In 1950 Helliwells was purchased by the Tube Investments Group and from 1954 to 1955 produced the Swallow Doretti sports car. Ken Edited November 22 by doretti More info added. Quote
