Great motorsport section 😉

And we have eventually updated the website TRAction list, so they are now all available to read online.

Especially for our overseas members who are still awaiting their hard copy!

My thanks, Trevor, for sorting the magazine archive out - and for pointing out that we furriners can now read TRaction in pdf form at the same time as those in Blighty with a hard copy😀

I was pleased to receive what felt like a thicker publication but dismayed to note that the font seems smaller.  At least it definitely looks that way to me and it will slow my reading it down somewhat.   I wish that a larger font size was used.

Hi Paul,

Font, pages and thickness have neither increased or decreased in four years. We cram in as much as we can to the 100 sides (limited by postage costs), but sometimes it is a struggle! At the moment, I have 25 prepared articles awaiting publication, I run a first come first served basis except when there is a time constraint on a specific article. As it is, I will be into two issues next year before I finish the 2025 reviews.

I haven’t seen a TRAction since the beginning of the year, alas.

The Register seems to have fired me as a member, I guess.  Nothing in the way of any membership sub renewal request.  Maybe it was too awkward for a US member to pay using the Register’s preferred automated draft system — it usually took a special call to the office in years past to process my renewal b

So I’m a forum-freeloader these days.

No, I haven’t, Stuart.  Is that how you guys in the UK do it every year?

I doubt it's deliberate Don, more of a cock-up I would imagine. Drop the office a line & remind them.

Yes, I’d guess you’re exactly right, Stuart.

Payment from over here been a problem for the last ten years or so — but at least the office in the past sent a notice to those of us who can’t direct debit.

I wondered if we international members were just not worth the effort to maintain in the Register.

I sincerely believe that is not the case, however I am disappointed that what should be a simple process for our friends outside the UK should become such a complicated issue?

Thanks, Mick.  Got it.

Mick's note, for those following this, essentially advised me to track down how to pay through the website or to call the office.  Yes, that's pretty much been standard procedure for the last decade.  I guess passing the pressure to members to keep track of their due dates too is a new procedure.

Don, you have another pm.

This is a public forum, not to resolve specific TR Register Car Club membership issues.

If anyone has any issue with their membership, please contact Emi via administration@tr-register.co.uk, she will be able to help you.

Mick
