cp25616 Posted December 11, 2025 Report Posted December 11, 2025 Strange that Paul mentioned the font size as I too found it difficult. Now unless my excellent eyesight has dramatically reduced between 359 and 360 editions, which I somehow doubt there must be an answer somewhere and no, I don't need to go to specsavers either. Strange. Alan G Quote
Dropheads Posted December 16, 2025 Report Posted December 16, 2025 Hi, I`ve just joined the club again after a bit of a break and noticed past issues of TR Action are now available online. Any plans for members to be able to download copies to read offline ? This may be available now and I may be missing something, if so could anyone let me know how to download ! Thanks Quote

james christie Posted December 16, 2025 Report Posted December 16, 2025 You will need to go onto the TR Register site and log in as a member of the TR Register. In the Menu look for Resources and then TR Action Index. Mr Editor has recently updated this section and now us furriners can read the magazine on line at the same time as you in Blighty, while we wait for our hard copy.š james Quote

Strange. Alan G I just looked at two paragraphs, both of fifteen lines, in the Social Scene sections of 359 and 360 and both were 55mm deep. Any perceived difference is illusory. Tim Quote

james christie Posted December 17, 2025 Report Posted December 17, 2025 (edited) I too have tried downloading in order to read off-line but got nowhere, managing only to load a couple half pages on my Ipad. Can anybody come up with a suggestion as to how to do this. Ā james Edited December 17, 2025 by james christie Quote

IĀ have not changed any of the specifications since becoming editor and I believe the specs were the same for at least two years before, so no, font size etc. haven't changed for at least five years! Is it just that we are getting older and our eyesight isn't as it was? About downloading the files..... TR Action pdfs are rather large in size as we wanted those who read them online to be able to see what was available in print. I can reduce the file to a downloadable size, but the photographs would all be of a lower resolution (blurred).Ā Any member wanting a downloaded copy can always email me with their membership number and I'll send a link to a 'cloud' version, as long as it is only a few members, not all of you! How is it that I can download a commercial magazine publication or even a book of several hundred pages to read off line? james received 360 yesterday here in Bretagne Hi James, The short answer is that I prepare press ready high resolution pdfs to send to our printers, these are what you see on the website. I am seeing if we can create another pdf of the file that doesn't loose too much photograph resolution whilst being smaller in size. I'll let everyone know. Quote
Trev Good Posted December 18, 2025 Report Posted December 18, 2025 Hi James, I have managed to truncate the pdf of TR Action down to 77MB from the original 270MB, I will eventually get on to the upload of all of TR Action that I have edited to help you download them, it took about two hours so I will do them in batches within 2026. Chilliman Posted December 18, 2025 Report Posted December 18, 2025 Well done Trev & thank you, I don't think many people appreciate the work that goes into the role. Quote
