Do you know what the shock actually fits?     The seller has a few of them and describes their fit correctly in other ads.

 I have the rear anti roll bar that attaches to the arms where those holes are drilled,   Just in case I could use it on a TR.

I did wonder if those holes might have been for an ARB. The arms look a bit long for a TR though

They are and the taper is in the wrong way and the angle of the arm is too low.    These shocks originally mounted at an angle on an upward sloping chassis rail.

, not horizontal like TR2-4

Peter = I don't know but suggested to the seller they contact V and C Engineering - they have responded saying they use V and C in any event so the mystery may be solved.

The arm looks way too long for an early TR one but there are some similar ones in photos on V and C's website
